📜 Policy Statement
The Teacher Empowerment and Progression Framework (TEPF) is a strategic and holistic initiative aimed at nurturing
the intellectual, creative, emotional, and professional development of student teachers. It ensures every trainee, regardless of
academic performance level, is provided with opportunities for growth through systematic support mechanisms, innovative learning
experiences, and inclusive mentorship.
🎯 Objectives
- Equip student teachers with 21st-century skills and professional competencies.
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration.
- Support underperforming students through structured remedial programmes.
- Prepare students for competitive exams and future employment.
- Inculcate values of reflective practice, ethics, and lifelong learning.
🔑 Components & Procedures
1️⃣ SEP – Skill Enhancement Programme
Continuous initiative to strengthen key teaching and life skills through sub-programmes:
- Rise Up (Daily Motivational Assembly) – 9:30–9:45 AM, led by student teams with mentor guidance, featuring talks, GK, tributes, and reflections.
- Creative Hour – Weekly last-period slot for quizzes, debates, storytelling, role plays, and reflective sessions.
- Book Hour – Discussions on books, literary works, or educational themes to build reflective reading and oratory skills.
- Friday Focus – Guided self-reflection, journaling, weekly feedback, and peer sharing for growth tracking.
2️⃣ KTET / PSC Coaching
- Target Group: Aspiring candidates for eligibility and government job exams.
- Mode: Sessions on weekends/holidays with expert faculty.
- Content: Orientation for Papers I & II, question practice, and mock tests.
3️⃣ STEP UP – Support for Underperforming Students
- Extra tutorials and academic support
- Peer study groups and mentoring
- Confidence-building and communication activities
- Periodic evaluation with personalised feedback
4️⃣ Clubs & Forums
Includes NSS, RRC, WDC, Literary, ICT, Tourism, Art & Craft, Fitness, Happiness, Placement, Counselling, and more.
- Objectives: Skill development, teamwork, leadership.
- Activities: Competitions, campaigns, international observances, community service, outreach programmes.
5️⃣ Magazines & Publications
- Platforms: Annual college magazine, club newsletters, blogs.
- Support: Faculty editorial mentoring.
- Goal: Encourage publishing poems, stories, reports, essays, and reflections.
⚙️ Implementation Guidelines
- Faculty coordinator will oversee the full framework.
- Each programme has a student team guided by a mentor.
- Monthly event calendar displayed in advance.
- Compulsory participation by all student teachers.
- Feedback, reflection, and documentation for NAAC/NCTE records.

- Monthly review meetings by Academic Coordinator and Mentor Team.
