KSHEC & KIRF
The Kerala State Higher Education Council (KSHEC) is a statutory body established by the Government of Kerala
to coordinate, determine, and maintain the standards of higher education in the state. It acts as a bridge between higher
education institutions and policy-making bodies, ensuring alignment with national educational reforms.

The Kerala Institutional Ranking Framework (KIRF) is an initiative under KSHEC, designed to rank higher
education institutions in the state based on transparent, objective, and measurable parameters. It is modeled on the
National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) but adapted to the specific context of Keralaβs higher
education landscape.
