B.Ed (Two Year Programme)

The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme is a two-year professional course designed to equip prospective teachers with essential pedagogical knowledge, teaching skills, and leadership qualities to meet the challenges of the 21st-century classroom. The programme follows the norms of NCTE, the affiliating University of Calicut, and Government regulations.

The B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) programme aims to mould skilled and reflective teachers in various subjects. This professional training combines subject knowledge with modern teaching strategies, aiming to produce competent, ethical, and innovative educators.

Programme Details

  • Syllabus: The B.Ed syllabus of University of Calicut will be followed. A candidate can opt the optional subject that matches with her graduation subject.
  • Qualification: Eligibility for admission will be governed by the rules of Govt. of Kerala, University of Calicut, and NCTE.
  • Age Limit: There is no age limit for admission.
  • Annual Intake: 50 students (one basic unit).
  • Seat Position: 50% Government Quota and 50% Management Quota. Merit seats are allotted strictly as per University and Government norms.
